a guy i work with said he pre heated his electric oven,?

preped a prime rib by pouring crown royal over it,packing it in rock salt and wrapped it tight in aluminum foil and put it in the oven. after a while he says it blew up and the door flew open and the oven window was cracked. is this possible? and why would that happen?

I am so ignorant about electrical stuff. Maybe you should ask this question with the people at Maintenance and Repairs. I got good answers form there when I needed.
