Can I put 20lb mono on a reel that can only hold 16lb mono?
I bought an Avet sx conventional reel and it can only hold 16lb test on it. Can I put 20lb on it.
Yes, you can use 20 pound mono on that reel. Only problem is, it won’t hold as much 20 as it would the 16. It even says so on the website…

Nice reel, by the way. It’d be good for albacore and yellowtail in my opinion.
