Basic Fly Fishing Reel Setup
Most basic cheap fly fishing rod reel kit maybe?
I know they will be like shit. My friends and bro’s are all 400-600 dollar setups.
I fly fished growing up so i still got it all down pat. I just can’t afford. You all know what i mean unfortunatly.
separate reel and rod? or kit? I really don’t mind its goodness. only putting 130 down on something cheap.
something at dicks sporting goods or dunhams perhaps? I can’t order from orvis or get something great like that at cabellas either too expensive. sportsmans warehouse is gone.

Seems like they have been experimenting with this Three Forks/Prestige combo for a while now — changing it up with different reels and stuff, changing the price around. Lots of sporting goods companies have been trying to get under that $100 threshold and sell combos to people who don’t have much to spend on fly gear. This one’s definitely not a $400 Orvis, but if you know what you’re doing like you say you do, you can fish through its weaknesses and I’m sure you’ll catch fish with it.
With $130, you could get that combo and even pay the shipping. I have seen similar combos and they seem okay, and by that I mean they won’t fall apart on you on the first trip or anything like that. I have thought about getting one of those Cabela’s 3 weight rods as an emergency back-up rod.
