what is a good freshwater reel for casting long distances and how far do they cast?

Im trying to get a good bass rod for casting hard baits as far as posible i also might yous jigs worms frogs anything really

If you like spincast reels i would try the Zebco 33. It is a great reel, and it only costs $15 at Wal-Mart. I swear it is good for any medium or medium-heavy fishing area they can handle any fish under about 35-40 lbs. Plus they are not too big they are just the right size. I think the Platinum series 33 would be even better than the regular. Try it -

Any fishing line. I would get 12 lb. mono. That is after your 33 runs out of line, the line with the 33 is not half as bad as some of the line that comes with reels.
