Ebay Fishing Rods
Decent beginner fishing rods for cheap price?
Looking at fishing places such as jetties, off rocks and estuaries etc. Trying for the occasional trout, tailors, breams and the like.
Any suggestions for rods that come with reel? I’m looking around $60 more or less dependent on whether a couple more bucks is worth it. Been to BCF wondering if there’s other places to look and been considering ebay.
Rice an angler is only as good as his equipment allows. Just spend a few extra bucks and buy the best rod and reel you can that are marked down or are even available as a closeout to bring in a new model replacing it. but do not buy retail abused equipment that all the idiot queebs have already broken in retail stores like wallmart and kmart. There they have no supervision and almost every rod has damage from banging the tips into the ceilings and broken out ceramic guides from jamming them back into racks where they don’t fit. how comfortable the rod and reel is in your own hands is most important though and then after you find your fingers don’t get in the way when reeling in, then you go looking for all the features and benefits that one reel will have more than another. Rule of thumb is match the rods strength to the fish size you are going to be targetting and match the reel to the rod. Making sure your reel does all it will need to on the water. if you get a good deal on a medium rod you will be very pressed getting a brute in on it, because, it might not have the back bone in it to turn the fish around and he’ll flat own you! Fish get big because they are smart and old. They learn early to swim right into or around some kind of structure where he’ll break you off.
So! You need to pick up and handle all the equipment yourself, and find the one that will work the best for what you want to do. It has to be comfortable and fit in your hands and weigh (be balanced) perfectly for just you. I would go shopping then write down the make and model number of what I want then check out prices on the Bass Pro Shops website for new products and EBay for used (and some new) You might even use: (as an example)
