Trolling from a 15 ft Livingston skiff with a 15 hp Yamaha outboard engine–a pink hoochie over a salted cut plug herring lure works for me.
Fishing from a wharf–the above “lure” may work for you when line is cast from a spinning reel, with a 4 oz sinker and a fast retrieval. If the coho (silver salmon) is there, it will give chase and chomp.
