If I’m not mistaken this reel has been taken out of production and hopefully being redesigned. The baitcast model (available at Cabelas.com) seems to be of much better quality. For my hard earned dollars, the best value is in Team Daiwa reels.
There is a brand of reel “US Reels”…made in China (go figure). As for Penn reels, the International and some Senator models are Made in USA, the rest are overseas versions.
