Fishing Reel Parts Diagrams
I need an informative diagram of a fishing pole to find out the name of the part that the reel sits on?
I do believe that part, on the rod itself, is called the reel seat.
This is the part that is usually threaded at one end and has a ‘hood’ where the reel foot slides into at each end. Tightening up the threaded portion of the reel seat fixes the reel to the rod securely.
