Fishing Rod License
Does wal mart sell day only fishing licenses?
Me and my boyfriend want to go fishing at stevens creek Reservoir California. But we are totally new to it and don’t know the type of license we should get and afford. I assume the basic 25$ rod kits should be good enough for gear. We are not planning on keeping the fish, we are planning on releasing them after we catch and take a picture.
As a couple we try to budget
State of CA., has 1 day fishin’ licenses and Walmart does carry them (make sure ya’ specify 1 Day Fishing License). If your talkin’ bout’ Stevens in the Santa Clara area, I know that the DF&G (Department of Fish and Game) plants trout there, so best advised that ya’ hold onto them (limit is 5 Trout) ie., releasin’ “plants” and or any Trout one has to know how ta’ do it properly, as for other species, care should be takin’ but, not as much as Trout.

Note: While your at "Wally World" aka Walmart ya' might just check out their Spincast Rod/Reel combo's (for the begineer a Spincast be the easiest to learn and best bet). 1st link will show ya' what type I'm referrin' to and and 2nd will give you the selections they have.
