What do you think of the concept of natural human flight?
I think it is possible. Look at the Logic man had learned to stand up straight and we’ve leaned to walk on two legs. Do you think on day (perhaps the next species of homosapiens) will be able to fly?
Not with the present conditions on this planet.
Look how big the largest birds are: it is a far cry from the weight of the average human.
Large flying reptiles from the dinosaur area were able to fly because back then the % of oxygen in the air was much higher than it is now (that is what explains why dinosaurs could get so large).
Also, one thing to consider is that the human brain, which weight about 2% of the average body weight, consumes 15% of the body energy. Basically, we gave up a lot of strength for the rest of our body to support the brain.
In order to evolve flight, we would have to first come up with mutations that hint towards flight, and that “people” with that mutation would have a natural selection advantage in reproducing. I.e. before flying, we would have to see an advantage in being able to glide a little on stubby wings. I don’t see this ever happening, especially since turning arms to wings means one has to give up hands, in the way they are presently used.
