What are the basic equipment i need for ghost hunting?

I would say just a flashlight and a video camera. The other stuff (e.g., EVP recorders and EMF meters) are just gimmickry which don’t detect anything but a person’s willingness to attribute mundane things to ghost activity.

But the best tool to bring with you is your own brain, putting aside your beliefs and looking only for evidence that can be critically examined. Use your critical thinking skills, investigate, and look at the likely and logical explanations first. If you do, the only bad thing that will happen to you is that you won’t encounter a ghost, since you’ll be aware of the real explanations for things you observe. But you’ll still probably have fun.
