Can you Ice Fish in New Zealand?
If so, where? I am heading to Central Otago in 2 weeks and want to know if you can do any ice fishing. Would love to try it out. Do you need any special equipment?
Terrible replies. 1. NZ IS cold enough for lakes to freeze over. Thats why the do curling in Naseby. Did you forget the South Island which has glaciers, 5 Ski fields etc. I want to know where it is actually done, which lakes are good etc. Filled with unthought out crap answers so far .
I see where all the answers are coming from, im a NZer and was not aware ice fishing was possible in NZ. If it is possible its not something you see or hear about ever…….
