What is the best fishing rod to get?
I’m an extreme novice when it comes to fishing. I mean I’ve only went fishing a little bit when I was a kid and now that I’m an adult I want to start up fishing. I was just wondering what’s the best fishing rod out there to get? I would also like ideas on tackle and how to start out. Maybe there is a beginners book out there somewhere that would help me a lot too?
being a beginning fisherman i would recomend an ugly stik, they are very tough rods and can take the abuse you will probably put them thru while learning.
i know walmart and basspro shops both carry an ugly stik starter kit, its got a rod and reel with a selection of lures, hooks and bobbers for about 25 bucks if i remember right. as for information about fishing the best source for that would be any fisherman, but yahoo answers has some good tips you should look at. and there are tons of online forums. youtube also has a great amount of videos on fishing, and basspro shops has an online library with a ton of useful articles and videos, as long as you dont mind the blatant advertisement that is.
