Yes i agree with the other answerer — neither combo would be good for a beginner
~ In-fact if your a beginner to bait-casting your much better off getting a decent reel (priced $100+)
~ You will find it much better to learn on with a good quality reel. If your using a cheap $50 reel you will be getting loads of backlashes and that wont do your confidence any good…… and may-well turn you off baitcasters all-together.

~ Now that you’ve got a good reel its time to choose ya’ rod.
You dont have to spend all the much money on a rod — Actually a good tip when buying a new rod & reel is to spend more on the reel then you do on the rod.
