Problem with fishing reel/combo?
After applying wd-40 to my fishing reel it started to make noise….it sounds like the ball berrying are grinding or something similar and it only happens when i turn the handle forward, it becomes perfectly normal when i turn it backward. What should i do please help. Its a silstar fishing rod.
10 to 1 when you sprayed your reel with the WD -40 it displace the grease and oil from the contact places as well as the bearings.
Take it apart and clean it real well, and re lubricate, using the appropriate reel oil and grease.
Wal Mart carries Quantum’s Hot Sauce Reel Grease, & Oil.
If you have a D!cks, or Bass Pro Shop near you, they should have what you need as well.
