How much weight can a medium action 5′6 spinning rod support?
I would want to know how much a medium action 5′6 spinning rod can support in fishing.I am using a 4lb line.
I am using the rod to catch large mouth bass in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York.
The most i want to hold is 3 pouns, will my rod be able to support that much?
I am an avid bass fisherman and a 5′6 rod will be able to hold some weight. However largemouth do fight hard and i would suggest using 10-14 pound test. Even fish that weigh 3 pounds can break that line sometimes so fight your fish carefully.
