Used Fishing Reel For Sale
Recently purchased a Shimano TR 200G…?
I was looking for a decent reel to fish for flathead cats, and talked a bit with the guy who works there and I purchased a Shimano TR 200G and I understand this reel is mainly used for saltwater. He said it would suit me well with bank fishing, but I couldn’t help but to think he was trying to get a sale. Of all the reels I looked at, I opted for this. I was wondering if anyone here has used them for freshwater fishing and how was your experience?
l have not used the shimano but l DO use a newell 330 which casts well on my 8′ jig rod filled with about 400 yds of 30lb mono. a penn jigmaster narrow spool model is an ideal reel also. get an ugly stick surf rod of about 8 feet in length. you want sturdy gear for the brutes.
